Riding the Roller Coaster

The free-floating anxiety that many people feel is an indication of the disconnection many people have with God. This anxiety will not fade away when the “bailout” becomes final. There will be another crisis around the bend which will need another “bailout” and so on and so on.

The anxiety is more prescriptive of the human condition adrift from a relationship with God. Unfortunately, most houses of worship have fed into that drift with their crazy mis-representation of God.

What if God simply, unconditionally, freely LOVES EACH ONE OF US? Yes I am shouting. What if that is true? What if God is not surprised by us or anything we do (I would think an “all knowing” Being would be “all knowing” and therefore unable to be surprised)? What if God, who knows all, really cares about us and will in God’s way work it all out, in a way that restores dignity and meaning to each person?

If that is true, then the Market (and life) can continue the roller coaster ride. I can ride or not, it is my choice. Either way, God still loves EACH ONE OF US, more than we can imagine. Why can’t that be enough?
