Time to Know Him Better

Dickens wrote, "in easy state upon this couch, there sat a jolly Giant, glorious to see who bore a glowing torch, in shape not unlike Plenty's horn, and held it up, high up, to shed it light on Scrooge, as he came peeping round the door. 'Come in! exclaimed the Ghost-'come in! and know me better, man!'"

It is that time for us to know the Ghost of Christmas Present. Of course not the Ghost but the One who for us was made flesh and dwelt among us. The one who Tiny Tim said it pleased him that people would stare at him (Tim) because it might make them think of Him who healed the blind and caused the Lame to walk.

I fear most don't know Him. Most don't know Christmas, nor do they make the effort to "know Him better" year after year. Instead falling into the lies and materialism of this world, they chase after gifts, trinkets and amusements and miss Him altogether.

I pray this Christmas you get to know Him, and get to know him better!

Come in and know me better man!

What an invitation!

What a joy!

Merry Christmas
